okay so i know i didn't really blog about the food that i ate while in boston and my only excuse is really that i was just too busy stuffing my face to stop and take any pictures. that's a legitimate reason, right? luckily, my dad is just as photo-obsessed as i am and actually took a few pictures of our fine dining while i was distracted with piling more onto my plate. priorities, people.. im all about priorities.

one of the places my parents took me and my brother is giacomo's, one of their absolute favorite restaurants in boston.. and with good reason. it is small and intimate, literally the friendliest staff on the planet, amazing italian food, and (yes, there's an "and") it's cheap. like really-good-for-your-money cheap. our waitress said that they haven't changed their prices since they opened which, i think, is pretty incredible. we ordered the pumpkin tortellini in a fresh sage mascarpone cheese sauce and a zuppa di pesce for "two", obviously with plenty of red wine. seriously, next time you're in boston go to this place, but be warned, you will probably be waiting in a line outside for at least an hour.. no matter what time you go. but it's worth it, so so worth it.
